REPRESENTATIVES OF UWED PARTICIPATED IN ADVANCED TRAINING COURSES ORGANIZED BY WORLD TRADE INSTITUTE SUMMER ACADEMY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BERN, SWITZERLAND

In July of this year, the delegation led by the teachers of the Faculty of International Law of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Usmanov S. and Abdullayev K., the researcher Karimov H. and the dean of the Faculty of International Law visited the city of Bern, Switzerland.

The objective of the trip was the implementation of the cooperation in the framework of the project “Facilitating the Process of Uzbekistan’s Accession to the WTO” funded by the European Union and implemented by the World Trade Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the visit the delegation members studied the following modules of World Trade Institute Summer Academy at the University of Bern, Switzerland:

1. “Strengthening the sales management of agricultural products” – lecturers Ken Ash and Kristian Hepburn.

2. “Latest changes in International Investment Law and resolution of disputes” – lecturers Michael Potesta, Krista NadavukarervaRadrigoPolanko.

Newly received knowledge and skills will serve to improve the teaching system of subjects related to WTO law as well as bring the ongoing cooperation to the whole new level.
